23. Traveling America
The Traveling America (TA) series begins with a motor trip I took from Virginia to New Mexico in 2005. The series reflects my experiences of the past 12 years while traveling the highways and byways of this fascinating country. The title of the work might lead you to think it consists of conventional travelogues. While I do offer some travelers’ advisories, the emphasis is on the people I met and on their cultures and outlooks on life. Nonetheless, I could not omit descriptions and pictures of some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Here is a summary of the contents of Traveling America.
